Pharmacy

Students for Project Misside Stichting is currently raising funds to finish the building of a pharmacy in Telimele, Guinea!

As of now, the fundamental construct of the pharmacy is done, but there is still a long road ahead. The electrical infrastructure is in the process of being improved, however much more equipment is needed to construct a cooling room for the medicine.

 

Finishing the construction is now more important than ever - because will the pharmacy store life-saving medicine close to most inhabitants of Telimele, but it will also be a key location to distribute masks and hand sanitisers during this pandemic. Likewise, the pharmacy will also act as an information check-point to educate and raise awareness on simple action everyone should take to prevent a viral outbreak in Guinea. 

 

Please help, any donation will shorten the time until many Guineans will be able to rely on a stable supply of medicine, equipment, and information to live a better life!

Background

We currently seek to provide the financial means necessary to build a pharmacy next to the hospital and medical care centre. It will supply and store all vital medicines to create certainty and faith in an emerging sophisticated healthcare system that Télimélé and finally Guinea will benefit from tremendously.

Progress

Thus far, the external construction of the pharmacy has been built, and the internal one is progressing fast thanks to your generous contributions! The next steps entail equipping the cooling room with the necessary infrastructure to be operational. Please find blueprints and progress update pictures below.

Herbal Garden

Accompanying the pharmacy’s medicinal supply, we aim to extend and improve our medical herb garden, to supply domestic natural healing herbs to the pharmacy. This is not only a sustainable approach, which hopefully grants many Guineans access to various medical treatments but can also serve as a role model for other parts of the country or even the continent.
